From the opening dissolve, The Dark Knight hits the ground racing like a Bat Pod, only to ease on the gas a touch about to thirds of the way through, just to give the viewer a chance to breath!
Set piece after set piece, TDK delivers. It's mix of genre tones elevates it above other comic book movies, from crime epic to popcorn entertainment to gloves-off horror, TDK never bores.
Heath Ledger as the Joker dominates every scene he's in, with a creation of acting that lingers in the mind long after the credits dim.
But your mouth won't be fixed in a permanent grimace like the Joker's, but an O shaped "Wow" at some of the inventive film making here. Enjoy.!
