Having been a fan of Abba's since Dancing Queen first came out however many years ago, how could I resist Mamma Mia, the movie. Just the play, it's total silliness but what's so bad about a little silliness every now and again? Meryl Streep, as always, shows she can play an role well. Truly, she looked like she was having a marvelous time playing Donna, the mom of soon to be wed daughter Sophie. Pierce Brosnan may not have the singing skills she does, but he made an easy to watch Sam. Goofy songs, goofy dances all made for a lighthearted afternoon.
Yes, I recommend this movie.
