And now for something completely different. OMG, Hollywood came up with an original idea--or at least a different take on the alien invasion theme. For the most part they pulled it off. I thoroughly enjoyed the film.
The screenplay is great. The acting is strong. There are many different characters and they are fleshed out fairly well in a way that does not distract from the flow of the movie.
Pros well paced, great story, great actors
Yes, I recommend this movie.

ROTFLMAO!

The first Hangover movie was mildly entertaining. Mike Tyson's cameo made that movie worth seeing.
Tyson's performance in the sequel was embarrassing to me and hopefully to Mike, himself.
I am no psychologist; but I think a lot of the bad reviews are coming from females who find it hard to compete with other females and impossible to compete with transsexuals and from males who are questioning their manhood for thinking the pole dancer was hot before they found out it was a dude.
I do not think that the liberal use of the N-word was necessary or funny; but I got over it. Aside from that this movie was HILARIOUS.
If you did not think the movie was HILARIOUS you should have exited the theatre within the first 15 minutes and asked for a refund. I haven't read any reviews where anybody mentioned that they walked out before the end of the movie.
Nobody is getting their heads or arms chopped off like Saw or having body parts blown off like Rambo. There is far less sexual content than American Pie. I do not get all of the outrage.
Yes, I recommend this movie.

I almost did not go to see this movie because of all of the bad reviews. They are all lies.
The special effects are great and the acting--while not Oscar worthy--is not horrible as is being portrayed.
This story tells what would happen if aliens actually invaded. We lose. If you want a happy ending go to a massage parlor.
This is really good sci-fi for people who really like sci-fi.
The brother gets killed--which you expect; but he also knocks boots with the two hottest white chicks in the movie. And he is filthy rich. I suspect this is the real reason behind the bad reviews.
Yes, I recommend this movie.

Let's discuss disgusting

I am a guy. I like guy stuff. I cannot understand why super hardcore porn is rated XXX and movies like Rambo and Jackass 3D get an R rating. It seems to me it should be the other way around.
This movie has no redeeming social value. If you are 18 and older you should still need your parent or guardian to act as a chaperone in order to see this film. It is that disgusting.
There is a definite homoerotic theme running rampant throughout the film. They are trying to make it illegal to get a lap dance all over the country; but it is ok to watch this crappola?
Having said all of that, I laughed my @$# off. I cannot remember another movie where I laughed so hard; but also fell asleep a couple of times.
No, I do not recommend this movie.

This movie works well as a a stand alone flick. The 3D and Matrix-like effects are nicely integrated. Milla still looks good; but she might be getting a little long in the tooth for a sequel.
Yes, I recommend this movie.

If you've had a problem sleeping, this movie is the cure. If you've seen the trailers, you've seen all of the good parts.
The acting is ok. The cinematography is ok. The plot is weak. The villain is weak. The direction is horrible. The running time is about an hour too long. More is not better.
There is going to be a sequel. Hopefully, this works out like the Star Trek franchise where the first movie was a dud followed by some blockbusters.
No, I do not recommend this movie.

The special effects and 3D are as good as advertised. The FX are great; but they do not overwhelm the story or make up for the lack thereof.
Yes, the story is one that has been done before. Yes, it protrays certain people in a bad light. My suggestion is that if you do not want other people looking upon you as the bad guy then stop being the bad guy. Either that or kill and or subjugate everyone who does not agree with your point of view. After all, might makes right.
There is a moral to the story. Unfortunately some people have no morals so they don't get it.
Yes, I recommend this movie.

This movie is an instant cult classic that belongs in the same category as RoboCop and Terminator. It starts off "slow" as it sets the premise, but it is never dull. Nobody got up to go to the restroom, and I drunk two beers.
My guess is that it hits too close to home for some people and holds up a mirror to their own lives. I keep reading reviews about the aparteid system that used to be in place. It is still in place and the after effects will linger for years. One of the aspects of the system is that the victims begin to take on the identity of the perpetrators. Hmmmmm...interesting.
Yes, I recommend this movie.

This is what you get when you try to make a movie for every demographic--a hot mess.
With all of the adult content in this movie it should be rated R.
Totally unbelievable is the last part of the movie where the two main characters have to run 4 miles through the desert while being shot at with missiles.
With just a little editing this could have been a much better movie.
I wanted to see if there was anything to the criticism about the stereotyped black robots. I was mildly offended; but what can I be mad at? It's Independence Day weekend and I am still a slave, my people my revel in bufoonery.
No, I do not recommend this movie.

There are a few minor flaws of logic as there is in any movie. Just keep saying to yourself it is only a movie.
Machines bad. Humans good. You want the good guys to win. Good acting complements the great special effects.
They can keep milking the cow as long as results are this good. This is the best movie of the summer so far.
Yes, I recommend this movie.
