This film stayed true to the Dark Knight comics. It had phenomenal performances by all of the actors. Heath Ledger's performance was amazing, he was meant for that role, and it is sad that he is no longer with us. Movie direction, sound, visual effects, and more were all tops.
I did hear one bad comment by someone coming out of the theater. He claimed that they could have done a better job, and that he thought it was too dark. I do have to say to that that this film was based on the Dark Knight comics. DC Comics has more control over movies being made of their comics. If you do not like these comics then how do you expect to like the movies based off them. I look at it this way; if Batman-the Dark Knight is not your cup of tea, then drink a different cup.
