Movies are about being entertained and forgetting about the rigors of everyday life. If a movie pulls you out of reality and into the plot, then half the battle is won by the directors, producers etc. For their first major flm roles, I thought Logan Lerman (Percy) and Alexandra Daddario (Anna Beth) were wonderful. The special effects and battle scenes played out well. My only reason for lack of a higher score was that the plot needs a bit more pull and originality. While I did not read the book series, my two boys have and said that the book was better and they skipped many key events. Whatever the case - FUN FOR ALL!
Yes, I recommend this movie.

If you have seen the other Harry Potter movies, then you have seen this one. Nothing about it was surprising or different. For HP fans - they will carry on. For average movie goers looking for $8 worth of entertainment......C+
