Star Trek blew me away. I was one of the 97% of audience members who applauded at the end of the movie. Best movie I've seen since The Lord of The Rings movies.
To anyone not familiar with the original Star Trek TV series, this movie still totally stands alone and rocks. To anyone who grew up with the original Star Trek TV series (here, here) or is just plain a fan anyway, the movie really did an outstanding job to touch on each of the main crew member's "personality traits/quirks" and even managed to add a bit more dimension to each of the them in ways some fans may have always wished for and finally got to see.
Just a real gem... errr... ummm... Jim!
Yes, I recommend this movie.
