I was prepared for the title, but I thought the "dark" theme was over-done and inconsistent. I am not sure what the "message" was for those in the audience, but I thought it "lost its way" several times; and the ending could have been more "comfortable" and redeeming...Not as good from a theme standpoint as other Batman movies.... 5 Stars for effects, acting of at least the Joker was excellent; but many times the voices were drowned out my the music (which ironically was very good). My of the movie was difficult to understand and follow as well as difficult to hear (again because of the music being too loud at the wrong time).
Yes, I recommend this movie.
