this movie was hard to sit through.the cinematagraphy was aweful.maybe it's because i'm older than 12 but this movie could have been edited down to 90 minutes and it might of helped.i mean he can't get hot girls, but,he's got hot girls for exes. what's up with that. don't waste your money.maybe i'm just to old to enjoy this crap.
while i can't say i'm a will farrell fan i will say his movies for the most part are comedies that require you to think.this one is one of those.i found myself laughing throughout and really paying attention so as not to miss anything that might be going on around the main scene.if only Peter Sellers was still alive! it's a total spoof on all the popular cop movies that's as good as i've seen.i mean the nerd getting all the hot chicks is a great theme throughout.mark wahlberg is perfect. i'd even go see it again just to see what i missed .i can't stop thinking about what i missed that was funny.
i had tears in my eyes after this movie.first off i'm 61 years old and grad from high schoolin 1966.also,i was a disc jockey on a fm station kfmg in des moines in 1969 playing all blues.i thought this movie captured the music of that era perfectly.i know some of thesongs weren't all from the sixties ,but, that has nothing to do with the reason this movie was a success.the acting was stellar from top to bottom.they nailed the characters right on.i laughed all through the movie.if your a baby boomer don't miss this once in a lifetime movie.
this is one of three movies i've ever walked out on in my life.i thought movies based on comic books were supposed to entertain. after two hours trying to figure out just what this psycho is really just a bad luck kid with bad upbringing and is really the result of americas values i decided to go through-up.appauling!!
