Intriguing Movie Version

Pierce Brosnan's voice improved after the first two songs in this movie version of the play Mamma Mia!. The surprise was how well Meryl Streep came off between the singing, dancing and the character development of the mother. Anyone who has seen Shakespeare's Comedy of Errors, sometimes filmed as The Boys from Syracuse will see how the twists and turns unravel in this enjoyable cinema treat. Revelations at the end upend Streep's attitude toward Brosnan's character and also seem to reflect Shakespearean endings as well.
