Great Family Movie!

I took my 8 year old daughter and 6 year old son to this movie, and we all enjoyed it immensely. Po is an immediately engaging and likeable character -- especially if you are a Jack Black fan already!! -- as the every-Panda with big dreams who learns that the power to fulfil his those dreams and his destiny resided within himself all along. He is helped along by an assorted group of characters who go from scoffing naysayers to being won over by his unique charm and perseverance. Angelina Jolie, Dustin Hoffman, Ian McShane and David Cross provide some of the pitch-perfect voices. The movie is inspirational and presents a solid message that can be easily understood by all ages. The action and animation is just incredible; the filmmakers didn't miss a thing! It's also an absolutely beautiful movie to watch--lush, gorgeous scenes of China provide the backdrop, and cultural references -- inlcuding architectural, agricultural, and gastronomic --are abundant and integral to this funny and impressive film. You will leave with a smile on your face -- Jack Black performing "Kung Fu Fighting" is a riot -- and the desire to book a trip--or at least a dinner reservation!
