Not enough "magicalness."
Also, too many slightly saxual (they won't let me use the word with an 'e') scenes depicting adolescent wizards in what looks like any trashy teen party movie. Would have been nice to keep it a bit more innocent. I think kids are exposed to saxual stimuli more than they should, and when people see the H.P. crew as peers, it exposes them to peer pressure and acceptance of this behavior as an acceptable norm.
Yes, I recommend this movie.
