The Dark Knight: Proof that Sequels Can Rule!

The Dark Knight, the latest Batman sequel, is an amazing movie. If you are a Mom to a superhero-salivating kid, and you suffer through countless Super Hero movies, you will not be disappointed by the Dark Knight.
The animation, alone, is worth the view. The flipping of an 18 wheeler is nothing short of a miracle. The coloration of the movie, as well, is simply gorgeous. The use of blue and silver and light and dark adds to the mood. If all of those yummies aren't good enough, the characters, themselves, are simply amazing. Heath Ledger performed his final role with absolute polish. His laugh and evil demeanor bring a whole new depth to the Joker character. It isn't possible for the silly jokers of cinema-past to compete. Morgan Freeman and Alfred are, as always, incredibly dignified. Two face is incredible, as well, in his fall from grace. And, finally, Christian Bale is a fantastic Batman/Bruce. He is more than just eye-candy, his character is soulful and wise.
The Dark Knight proves that sequels don't have to suck. In fact, you can watch and love this one even if you have never seen Batman Begins.
Yes, I recommend this movie.
