Fun movie, good acting, a bit melodramatic

I found the first hour and a half to be a lot of fun. The Joker made the movie entertaining. I'm pleased they portrayed the joker into the psychotic killer that he really is in the comics. Heath Ledger did a great job showing the evil side of the joker. Christian Bale is a good batman even though he goes too far with his Batman voice at times. The woman who played Rachel Dawes is a good actress but she's just not good looking enough to play a batman girl. Batman girls are sexy, not cute like katie holmes or this last one. The guy who did harvey dent was overacting a bit, but that could've just been the script he was given. The Harvey Dent story went a little too far. At the end it felt like the movie was drawn out, cheesy, and melodramatic. It felt like I was watching a soap opera. To the directors/writers I ask, Why so serious? Besides the harvey dent and rachel dawes part of the movie, the plot of joker and batman is superb. All the action scenes were exciting and fast paced. The camera movement wasn't as chaotic/frantic as it was in "Batman Begins" so this time you could actually see batman do his choreography which was good. Overall the movies is between good and great, but it does not deserve a 5/5. It is though, the best movie i've seen this summer, but that's not saying much. Go see it though, chances are you'll like it more than I will.
