The Dark Knight Soars

The Dark Knight is not only a great superhero movie, it's a great movie, period. Heath Ledger almost steals the film as The Joker, licking his lips and seeming to savor every word of dialogue. But Christian Bale as Batman and Aaron Eckhart as Harvey Dent turn in excellent performances as well. Christopher Nolan's direction allows the major characters to establish themselves, while moving the action along at a breakneck pace. Even though The Dark Knight runs more than two and a half hours, I was ready to watch still more! I am looking forward to seeing it again.
Yes, I recommend this movie.
