I am a real fan of superhero and sci fi and couldn't have been more disappointed. Dark Knight used violence like a crutch for a plot that just didn't exist. Del Tor should learn that sometimes less is more. As much as this movie is hyped, it didn't surprise me a bit that there was no sound from the audience during except for the occasional check of watches and cell phones for the end of this unnecessarily lengthy serial killer docudrama. No subtly nuanced characterizations here, just a surfeit of mayhem. The unrelenting cruelty of all the characters left me nauseous. After the movie, the audience couldn't wait to leave, not one person sppeared to have enjoyed the experience. Pass the pepto!
No, I do not recommend this movie.
