I have never been a fan of George Clooney or Renee Zellweger, but they always seem to have the good fortune to be involved with good movies. Although it is not a great movie, it brings back memories of movies that were made in the golden age of film making. I thought they did a fairly good job of reprising the style of the earlier films, even though some of the scenery looked like freshly painted old buildings rather than new buildings of the time. The music did a good job of setting the mood, but as you can see by the age of the other reviewers, it probably helps if you have had the experience of seeing the movies of the 30's, 40's, and 50's. The most enjoyable thing about this movie was that it didn't assault you with the blatant profanity and potty humor of the movies of today. You could see it with your mother or your kids and not feel uneasy.
