I agree with all the reviews that gave the movie a one or two star rating, because the first movie was much better. This one didn't live up to the fist one, but if judged on it's own merits, as though you hadn't seen the first one, nor read the book, I think it would rate three stars. The story, acting, and directing were sub-par, and the attempts at injecting humor into serious scenes didn't work at all. Over all, I would suggest saving your money and renting it.
