Earned every bit of the hype

I honestly went into this movie thinking that all of the raving reviews received by Heath Ledger for his performance as the Joker might have been slightly hyped up in a sort of post-mortem respectful observance, but he has earned every single one of those ravings and more. His portrayal of the Joker made this movie worth five stars.
Yes, I recommend this movie.
