Funny, had good action sequences. Well written. Good tongue in cheek humor. Overall an enjoyable movie

Fun movie but...

Have enjoyed Mamma Mia! a few times onstage so was looking forward to the movie. When watching previews I was concerned that Streep was too old for the part, unfortunately my concern was well founded. She can sing well but she was just too old to come off realistically as the mother of a 21 year old. Although the other actors weren't much younger than her, hers was a critical part. Physically, she dances and moves well for her age. The suitors were well played by the Brosnan, Skelgard and Firth although, singing was weak. The views of the Greek Isles and the Meditteranean were gorgeous and made me want to go there,,,NOW! Despite the Streep concern, the movie was enjoyable.
Yes, I recommend this movie.
