It's 2 and a half hours long, but you wouldn't know it because it never really slows down. It's darker than any comic book-turned-movie production I've ever seen. Ledger is pretty freaky as the joker. The screenplay and plot is more adult and realistic than any of the other Batman movies, including the last one.
Yes, I recommend this movie.
