The movie is long but certainly entertaining. Heath Ledger's performance was haunting. Haunting because he nails the psychopathic villain and as my friend said, "makes you forget you are watching an actor act." The movie tries to allow the audience to truly understand the dark side of human nature and the psychological reasons Batman is who he is and why the villains are the way they are. I enjoyed the movie immensely, but I wouldn't take a child under 13 to see it. It has a lot of shooting and violence, and it made me feel immune to a close range gun shot half way through the movie.
Yes, I recommend this movie.
