Our New Favorite Alice

Lewis Carroll is my daughter's favorite author, so we went to see this last night. It blows away every other version we've seen.

Never Stopped Laughing

My husband and I went with 3 teenagers and ALL of us had aching sides from laughing so hard. I sure hope they release this one on DVD.

Fun for Teenagers and Adults Alike

My family of four was blown away. You'll love it even if you're not a Star Trek fan, although you do need to appreciate good science fiction or space opera. My best advice: stop reading reviews. I read a spoiler that I didn't realize WAS a spoiler until I saw the film. Just go see the movie!

Good with One Mistake

I liked the movie, but I felt a bit confused after seeing it—after all, they had to edit the story down to two hours. I just had trouble understanding what the audience would have understood if they didn’t already know the story--I had read it four times. I heavily questioned my daughter and mother-in-law, since they hadn’t read the book. I think the thing the movie left out that it shouldn’t have is a very clear explanation as to why Edward becomes as obsessed with Bella as she with him. Other than that, it was great! I thought that the cast was very good and my very favorite sequence was the baseball game. (Though maybe that’s because it’s my favorite song from the soundtrack?)
