I had read the book, so I knew how the movie would end. This took away from some of the suspense, which is no fault of the movie. I think the movie was good, but a little slow. Leonardo DiCaprio was excellent, as usual. I think the movie was hyped too much in the media. The movie was not as good as the hype, which was a little disappointing. Being from Boston, I liked that fact that it was shot locally. (And I am a big fan of Dennis Lehane!) I recommended this movie to my friends.
Yes, I recommend this movie.
