The Dark Knight is a brooding spectacle that transcend storybook telling and entertainment. It is a scathingly honest and brutal depiction of man's dark side and our ability to lose sight of morality and justice in the face of pain, suffering, greed and loss. This is an epic film that will be the pinnacle of Ledger's legacy as an artisan. The visual effects, soundtrack and storytelling are all worthy of Oscars...not to mention the acting. This was truly the best Batman film (or even comic book adaptation) ever produced. I'm still haunted by the Joker...
Yes, I recommend this movie.
