I would rate this movie as "fair". It had a serious message and an eye opening realization of how things can evolve with mankind which serves as a good reminder to the human race and the acting was good. However, the movie itself was lack-luster and did not hold my attention throughout. Much more could have been done to add to the tension and anticipation of the situation depicted. I find it particularly irritating when producers/directors insist on filming an actor so closely that one can actually see every pore in their skin. I have to ask "why?" do they find that necessary. It is not a natural way to view a person. Certainly not exciting or entertaining, That is one current thing more and more produceers/directors are into and I will be so pleased when they get over it.
The acting was excellent.....the movie was way-way-way too long! The movie was just not compelling enough to keep this movie goer from becoming bored after a hour and a half....at most.
Every thing I thought it should be. The closest to the orginial characters I have ever seen depicted. Steve Carell gave a believable and impressive performance. Anne Hathaway did her part well also.
Very impessive and entertaining from beginning to end. Special effects were great for the most part. Acting was good overall. The story has been told before, more than once, but the 3D mode made it seem fresh and new.
Followed the original story line perfectly. Gave a nice "closure" to the story with a tiny opening for a sequel if wanted. Characters are aging though and their story may not be as interesting down the road. Other actors put in place of the originals would be a disaster. Very entertaining. A true chick-flick. Am confused as to why this site will not allow the word S-- since it is in the movie title!
