Going into this movie I wasn't sure how it would turn out. Going to see it on the big screen was well worth it. It was really great and seemed true to the original toy lines and animated series as well as take elements from each series as well. A prime example was the Delta 6 suits which were based off the Sigma 6 suits seen in the GI Joe anime, Sigma 6.
Christopher Nolan's latest work in the new set of Batman scores a big win! The characters and their stories are complex. We get to really see the inner struggle Bruce faces every time he dons that cowl and cape. He's forced to make tough decisions throughout the entire movie. Christian Bale's portrayal also earns him the rank to be up with Kevin Conroy (of Batman: The Animated Series, Justice League) and my personal favorite, Michael Keaton from Batman (1989) and Batman Returns. Heath Ledger's performance as the Joker was stellar. He definitely ranks up there with the Joker's other portrayers included Jack Nicholson from Batman (1989) and Mark Hamill from Batman: The Animated Series. The only major cast change from Begins is the part of Rachel Dawes originally played by Katie Holmes now played by Maggie Gyllenhaal. Aaron Eckhart's portrayal of Harvey Dent/Two-Face is great. He really adds depth to the character by showing him at his greatest as Gotham's DA and then at his worst as he's broken down to his worst. Go see this movie! You'll love it!
