All the hype was worth the wait!!

I have always been leary when a movie has been hyped by advertising, professional reviewers. There is usually a reason for the hype, to sell tickets before word of mouth keeps all of us from going to see the movie at the Theater.
Dark Knight did not dissappoint. This is probably the best movie taken from the comic book genre. Christopher Nolan does a fantastic job of keeping you entertained from the first scene all the way to the finale. He keeps you guessing and introduces characters we are sure to see in the future.

Heath Ledger has taken the role of the Joker to a new level. He shows why he was considered the next big talent from Hollywood. His role deserves the Oscar!! I can't think of anyone else even coming close to his performance as the Joker.
This is also a GREAT Movie. It introduces some moral questions we all have to think about , "What would we do?". It has a complex plot that keeps you guessing even though we think we know how it will end.
Christian Bale turns in another wonderful acting role though he will be overshadowed by Ledger. Michael Caine and Morgan Freeman were not just big names with cameo roles they were very relevant to the Plot. Aaron Eckhart will also be remembered for a great performance, I look forward to seeing him in future roles.
This is a must see, I plan on seeing the IMAX version next.
