WOW WHAT A TREK!

The best summer movie since Spiderman 2! What a terrific, funny, dramatic, thrilling Trek this is. We went with three Star Trek fans and three people that wouldnt be caught dead in a trek movie and we all LOVED it.
Beautiful to look at, terrific cast, brilliant story set up for future films with this group.
JJ Abrams proves Lost and Fringe are no fluke. What a great movie-going again tomorrow!

Becoming Bond

Fast, furious and a great addition to the Bond library. The Ups: Daniel Craig IS James Bond, Judi Dench's superb M, David Arnold, who FINALLY gets the Bond music down perfectly, perfect Goldfinger homage, a fun retro visual title sequence.
The Downs: staccato editing style that often leaves you wondering who is doing what to whom in action sequences (we all were longing for one shot lasting more than a quarter second for visual perspective) and the absolute WORST Bond theme song in history. Two cats fighting in a burlap sack would sound better than the travesty from jack White and Alicia Keys here...godawful.
But, besides those down points an exciting FAST entry into the Bond legacy. Enjoy!
