Lightweight, silly, corny, fluff'; but delightful. The singing is uneven -- the acting splendid. You can't take it too seriously, but I dare anyone not to smile (and even sing along) while watching. Better than the stage version. And where has Julie Walters been all my life? She's a scream, and my new role model.
Yes, I recommend this movie.
