I took my kids (ages 4 and 7) to this movie expecting a cute rendition of the book. Unfortunately, my kids and I were disappointed that the movie changed so many things about the book that we loved. Was it entertaining? I felt it was slow in the middle, but maybe it would have been if we hadn't read the book first.
No, I do not recommend this movie.
