Clown
Finally, a Batman movie that's as dark as the title suggests. This is by far the most action packed, intense, and violent Batman movie ever made. In fact, it's so intense that at some points I found myself asking why it wasn't rated R. That said, this is NOT a movie for kids. 13 year olds can probably handle it, but parents need to be very cautious about bringing kids any younger than that.
The movie itself is fantastic all the way through. It very much lives up to the hype of the critic reviews. Ledger's performance is incredible, and honestly, I don't even really care for the guy. It's action packed from start to finish.
The only thing I think this movie lacks is some of the great panoramic shots that were in Batman begins. Most of the movie is filmed at "street level" and you sort of lose a sense of how great the city of Gotham is.
Overall I give this 9/10 stars. I liked it equally as Batman Begins, but they are very different movies. It's a must see.
