Groundbreaking

The story is very formulaic, but it is still fun to watch. The 3D IMAX opens a whole new world of cinematic experiences. The technology is getting better and it feels more real then any 3D I have experienced before. Zoe Saldana turns in an amazing performance that pulls at the heart. One of the most memorable movie-going experiences I have ever had and will never forget.
Yes, I recommend this movie.

A brilliant start to a new beginning...

J.J. Abrams along with writers Roberto Orci and Alex Kutzman have managed to pull it off with everything I could have hoped for. Their solution for starting a new Trek movie series couldn't have been more brilliant! The characters were consistent with younger versions of the characters we know and love. The story was wildly entertaining! After it was over I was more the willing to accept it as part of the Trek family. It deserves that honor and it was a pleasure watching the torch be passed as eloquently as it was. Incredible!
Yes, I recommend this movie.
