Being an avid Star Wars fan, it's very hard not to enjoy any Star Wars - well, anything. However, it took a pretty open mind. With the opening crawl missing and replaced with a newsreporter's voice explaining the current condition of the galaxy (in 1940's wartime news-reel style) I was weary of what would follow. It was, however, extremely creative, and I eventually enjoyed the fact that it was not a traditional film. Although this film could have been condensed to a pop-up book and called "Anikin Gets a Padawan", it did well setting the stage for the upcoming tv series and opened a lot of possibilities for filing in the blanks for Star Wars fans between films.
