This movie was everything the critics said and more. Not only does Ledger give a stunning (unfortunately last) performance but I thought all the actors poured themselves into their respective roles. MOST impressive in the IMAX format. We will be seeing it again this weekend at Rhode Island's only remaining drive in movie but it's doubtful the sound and enthusiasm of the crowd will be the same. The crowd gasped, laughed, roared, and clapped at the showing at I was at. Far superior to the first Christian Bale version and in some ways even better than the original Micheal Keaton/ Jack Nickholson classic. One of the few movies I would pay bucks to see twice at a theater and cannot wait to see if any additional footage is released on DVD.
Yes, I recommend this movie.
