The actors in the movie were great. Each of the kids do a great job of portraying...well, kids. They were the only thing that made the movie endurable. You wait for a monster that never comes and when it finally does, you think: Really? Anyone that says the movie had a "strong story line" must have been distracted by the absurd amount of lens flares. There is a ridiculous moment between the main character and the monster where, if I were the monster, I would have eaten him. Finally the music. The music at the end was awful. The town is in the middle of this alien invasion and you'd think you were watching a rom-com from the heart-warming music playing. In the end, you feel like you've been robbed.
No, I do not recommend this movie.

The only complaint I have about this movie is that it wasn't long enough! I think it was absolutely spot on. Each of the characters seemed to jump off of the pages and onto the screen almost effortlessly. The best part about new moon (even though I am Team Edward all the way) was all of the Jacob. I liked that they didn't give into the pressure of millions of girls wanting more Edward but also found a way to include him. This book was about the relationship between Jacob & Bella and that's what was portrayed in the movie. I am happy with the Volturi and think Aro's character was very well acted. Even though there wasn't much explanation about the Volturi, all of the background items: music, set design, etc. said it all.
Yes, I recommend this movie.

Action, romance, suspense and surprise. Everyting you ever needed and wanted in a superhero movie. If you thought you wanted to see this you have probably not heard of Watchmen and had to read up on it before standing in line for your tickets. If you didn't, no problem though. You can still piece together your own theory of what happens. Not for children though. I was slightly disturbed when I saw parents stand up with their children at the rolling of the credits. By the looks on their faces, so were they. Nobody's fault but their own. Several warnings throughout the theater. Anyway - I would definately see this again. Seems like you can't really appreciate the attention to detail the first time around so it deserves a second.
Yes, I recommend this movie.
