There was a lot of tension in the movie theater between blacks and latinos and I thought there was going to be a race war. Then somebody brought a baby to the movie theater and that eased the tension because people of all races understand not to fight when there are babies.
Seeing the fight in a movie theater was really fun when the action on the screen was good - and really boring when the fights were slow. Overall this type of event is well worth doing if you are a serious boxing fan.
If you are a Sci-Fi fan and you still have a bad taste in your mouth from that PG13 pile of trash Terminator Salvation, I highly recommend District 9. District 9 was more than just a thought-provoking alien-human apartheid paralleling drama. It was also a relentless sci-fi action flick with an interesting plot and effective story-telling. Also, I appreciate that while the movie didn't need gore to be effective, the director/ producer didn't hold back when it came time to make people explode with alien weaponry. When District 9 ended, I wanted more. BRING ON DISTRICT 10!
Dark Knight was the best Batman ever, best superhero movie ever. Too bad Heath Ledger died because it would have been nice to have him in part 3. He was the best Joker ever. I want to hold a press conference and tell everyone that I am the Batman. I wish I was the Batman.
