This movie truly deserves the "Blockbuster" mantle. It is character driven ,however it manages to carry along an interesting plot. Ledger is deserving of all the praise he has received. But the entire cast ensemble is not to be over looked, particularly Oldmans Gordon, subtle, clever. The glaring negative is the post production. The movie looks like a rough cut and it almost ruins it. Similar to the third Godfather. People actually stood up to leave in the middle of the movie thinking it was over. With a little smoothing it could have been two really outstanding movies. Let's not forget how well that worked for"The Lord of the Rings".
That being said, Go see this movie!!! It's fun!!! But don't bring young children. The jokers face is a nightmare!
