Above and Beyond a Summer Blockbuster

The Dark Knight is probably the best comic book movie yet made; it goes beyond the typical testosterone driven summer blockbuster. It combines stellar acting (from all lead and supporting characters), a classic plot (with a few twists), and current events references to provide the film treat of the summer! I will conquer with the other million people reviewing the film and state that Heath Ledger was phenomenal; he created a truly original and haunting joker character that will join the ranks of movies greatest villains.
My only criticism of the film is the final ending when Nolan parallels Batman to a Christ like figure, I felt it was a bit much; however, considering it was a summer hit, I will let it slide! Two thumbs way up, a must see!
