I debated whether to give it a 4 star or a 5 star rating after seeing the midnight showing last night. The production quality is top notch. The film was highly entertaining with moments of laughter and sadness. However, I know many of the quality items from the book that were left on the chopping block. It would have been good to have more Tom Riddle memories, building of Harry and Ginny’s romance, and the final battle at Hogwarts, to name a few things. These are minor quibbles though. Fans of the books and fans who are only interested in watching the movies will both find the movie entertaining. It is worth the 10 bucks it will cost you to see it. This is indeed a worthy entry into the Harry Potter saga.
Yes, I recommend this movie.
