With all of the hype that surrounded this movie I was very skeptical upon seeing it (especially at midnight on its grand opening). However, Dark Knight does not disappoint. Even that late at night the movie demands the audiences attention in every way. Even in scenes that are not action packed the acting has elevated to a whole new level.
Heath Ledger's performance is nothing short of amazing and if an Oscar nomination doesn't come of it I will be very suprised.
Aaron Eckhart did a good job as two faced although the one downfall behind his character is that I feel it evolved too quickly and wished it could have been done over two movies, but what are you going to do?
Overall the movie is well worth the money anyone is going to pay to see it and I HIGHLY recommend it.
The one thing I would say that as an early educator and already hearing some of the kids in my classroom say that they are going to see it has caused me some discomfort. I would not by any means consider this a kid-friendly movie, so some caution may want to be exercised in that department.
