Awesome Summer Blockbuster!

The Dark Night exceeds expectations created by its predessor, Batman Begins. The superior performances of the returning cast is enhanced by a solid performance by Aaron Eckhart as Harvey Dent. Best of all is Heath Ledger's final role as the Joker.
The one major disappointment in the film was Maggie Gyllenhaal, but she was somewhat better than Katie Holmes in the previous movie.
The action sequences and special effects were all that we have come to expect from the best of superhero movies. I left the theater anxious for the next installment of Batman.
