Whether you are a fan of Batman and comic book heros or not this film is bound to have you gripping your seat waiting for the next big moment. And you don't have to wait long. This movie is action packed to the brim with comedic lines that help to humanize and bring a realistic tone to the movie. The cast is superb and I expect lots of Academy nods next year. Christian Bale reprising his role as Batman portrays possibly the best version of the character ever. He brings a sense of darkness to this vigilante. Heath Ledger as the twisted Joker makes your skin crawl and wishing that he could reprise the role as well. When it comes to Rachel, Maggie Gyllenhal did a better job as the Assistant DA than her predecessor Katie Holmes. This movie will leave you awake and ready to watch it again. This movie does not disappoint!
