Good Acting, but disappointing

The acting by all was very good. The plot left something to be desired. The first 45 minutes were excellent, after 2 hour mark we stayed only to be disappointed with the ending. I cannot in good conscience recommend this movie for theater goers. This will be a good rental. Leonardo DiCaprio fans will love him, an excellent performance..

Mel at his best

Intense, suspensful. Excellent acting. My wife and I both had difficulty hearing some lines. We both agreed on what we thought was said, but it was distracting and a negative. Neither of us were familiar with the original BBC Edge of Darkness, so cannot compare. Really cannot comment too much for fear of disclosing the many twists and turns of Craven's investigation into his daughter's murder.
The directing is excellent.

Cute,Funny & Entertaining

Very funny situational movie with excellent acting. The story is very appealing to middle age people, especially those who have remained married for 25-30 or more years. Sometimes the grass seems greener. But family ties go a long way in sustaining and nurturing a marriage. Having said that you can relate to the movie through experiences of friends. Once those ties are broken the pieces are hard to mend.

Entertaining, Educational and Realistic

George Clooney does an excellent job portraying a corporate terminator. His life style will not be appreciated by the majority, but the accomplishment of his mission should be easily understood. During this extreme recession, hundreds of thousands of fellow citizens have been terminated. I am sure some in the manner portrayed in the movie. Emotional reactions will be varied, but all should have sympathy for the terminated. Corporations, and governments have all downsized. It is not funny business, thus the movie is not a comedy. The acting by all is very good.

Action, suspense, great acting and cinemaphotography not scene on a normal day. We all give this movie five stars. The action does not slow down and the suspense continues to the very end. A must see.

EXCEPTIONAL!!!!
I saw AVATAR in IMAX 3-D. I thought before that the technical features would be exceptional and they were. Even though the plot is as old as history, an oppressed people by a wealthy foe, the story in AVATAR made this sci-fi believable. The love story gave the movie warmth and realism.
Definitely worth a trip to the movies.Spend the extra money to see it in IMAX.

Gals on Wheels

While some say the movie is predictable, the fast paced action is a bonus. I knew nothing about roller derbies but I learned. I now would like to attend one. The women in the movie are all excellent at portraying there role. Plenty of laughs !!!!

Extreme entertainment. No punches pulled. Comedy, graphic violence, good story line. Actors are excellent. Brad Pitt is the only marquee name, but the others are as good or better. Plenty of action, although it could be shoretened and nothing would be lost. Could be the best of Tarantino. He brings out the best in the performers.

Sad, but entertaining!!

I went without a clue with my wife. She is a scifi fan. I found the movie theme to be sad from the treatment of the "Prawns" similar to those of Apartheid or slavery in the US. Man's inhumanity can be extreme and this movie portrays that. You will definitely pull for the "Prawns" who are innocent victims.
The movie is not for everyone: heed the warnings of language and violence.

This movie has received reviews that make you want to see it. I don't recommend it. There are some cute scenes, but it is not worthy of all the praise. You can lose interest.
