My wife and I like animal based movies and this will be one our favorites. It provides a well made movie with an engaging plot that has moments like the meeting of a allied and german soldier helping the horse as well as the horror of war. It also deals with animal cruelty and compasion. It runs the gamut of emotions and presentations. We both loved it and found it thoroughly enjoyable.
Yes, I recommend this movie.

I loved the movie. It is summed in the last few scenes where a video of an overweight catcher confronts his worst nightmare, running to second, only to find that there was no need for fear because he had hit a home run and did not know it until someone told him. It sums the whole movie. Good baseball lore also!
This movie was an excellent rendition of a comic book character. It had a mild plot with outstanding visuals. It presents what one would believe is a "realistic" portrayal of alien entities and worlds that might exist elsewhere. I particularly liked the rendition of the flying scenes with the fairy like green trails and "sparkling".
This was a story of fantasy and fun for us (the grandparents) and the kids to just sit back and enjoy without worrying about any social stories to be deciphered. The kids thought that the apprentice was too much of a wimp but were happy that he did so well in the end. Overall Cage did a good job.
Yes, I recommend this movie.

Good variation on an old theme

The remake of The Karate Kid was well done with good variations on the plot. Jackie Chan revealed a different facet of his talent with less comedy and more drama that came across very well. I enjoyed the movie and will see it again.
This movie was a discourse on the attitude of some of those who influence the assignment of funding of subjects for scientific study. It illustrates how those who have established themselves as leaders in fields of science can suppress discenting oppinions by denying funding and employment. This is not denying the right to study a selected topic but denying the resources necessary for carrying on the study. It is shameful that these people suppress areas of study that do not agree with their opinions. I would hope that other sources of funding would become available to fill this void. We must be aware that the study of new ideas is the foundation for the advancement of science.
