Typical Burton & Depp, interesting images and a good plot but the movie is listless. Burton is not a good story teller. There's no mystery or intrigue and definitely no true emotion.
No, I do not recommend this movie.

Not As Fun As Ironman

Six months from now, the only thing I'll remember about The Dark Knight is The Joker. Heath Ledger takes psychopath to a new level. In fact, his great performance might be part of the problem.
There are so many great actors in this cast from Gary Oldman to Morgan Freeman, Michael Caine and even Aaron Eckhart that Christian Bale seems terrible by comparison. He's the lead, for crying out loud and he's just barely believable.
Ironman was incredible! I wanted to love The Dark Knight just as much but, aside from The Joker, it's just not nearly as entertaining.
Yes, I recommend this movie.
