Not what I hoped

Burton's quirky style normally runs to his plot lines as well. This story line seemed tired. Even Disney tends to build something a little less ... predictable or at least works in things that are a combination of adult appropriate and child appropriate. The movie was just OK, although I found myself thinking, "Let's just be done with this." Acting was fine and the cinematography was amazing (although a bit too dark at times ... literally), but the plot was ho-hum. I expected more and was disappointed.
No, I do not recommend this movie.
