The setting is gorgeous and the songs are wonderful..........but the friends of Streep are too old and very unappealing. Streep is almost too old for the part, but her voice is nice and she has lots of energy. Brosnan has an awful singing voice; all of the men are appropriate because men can father a child at almost any age! The musical numbers are fun. Did not like the new songs added; they did not seem necessary, especially with Brosnan singing one of them! Not nearly as good as the play.
Yes, I recommend this movie.
