i read all the books and was looking forward to this movie. enjoyable funny scenes heartfelt ones- great duels- great suspense. the kids are all grown and each put in memorable performances but the one that stood out was Tom Felton in particular put in a great performance as Draco showing the conflict and the toll of being the chosen servant of the dark lord and the cost of it. that final scenes of his on the tower and fleeing the castle along with the duel in the bathroom with Harry i was looking forward to and it did not disapoint. the movie of course was moodier and they have some ways to go with the last 2 to sum up the story but in all it was a good movie in the series.
this movie is one i've been waiting for since i heard it was being made and i was thrilled that this is the best Batman movie i've ever seen although i was a tad annoyed that they tweaked the Batman mythology with one of its villians while keeping faitful to the other. its action packed the running time is nothing since it completely draws you in with its intensity and edge of your seat action, it is beautifully filmed and the cast is first rate. this movie IS very scary and violent for children under 13 and i cringed at the several scenes after i saw small children coming in but perhaps children now arent as sensitive as i used to be. this isnt my beloved animated series, there are guns and fighting and casulties and its incredible. Christian Bale is excellent and from one reviewer the most arrogant Bruce Wayne yet. but he''s so good at his dual role the arrogant and self absorbed wayne heir and my favorite vigilante hero that you dont hate him because you know all the good that he does. now the Joker. Heath completely WAS my favorite Joker villian and he made the character his own. altho very close to the Joker of the animated series on the level of complete insanity and manipultion of others he played the Joker so completely creepy he made my skin crawl so well done! the movie is the best look at Batman legend and i cant wait to buy it when it comes out on DVD so i can revisit. so Warner Brothers now the next Batman? you'll have alot of my expectations and standards to keep.
