Perfect Marriage of Tights and Drama

If you have been following the Batman films for some time you might be familiar with the rollercoaster ride the level of quality has taken throughout the series. The same can be said for "The Dark Knight" While I was a fan of Batman Begins, that movie pales in comparison to Knight both in terms of action and drama.
To put it bluntly, as of right now, "The Dark Knight" is simply the best superhero movie I have ever seen. The movie flows organically from the end point of Begins. The characters are all true to their origins in the comics and on the screen. We get significant more screen time for some of our favorites (Oldman and Freeman) and we get some stellar performances (Ledger and Eckhart)
What really wowed me thoughout was the story telling. It perfectly weaved the Joker's story with the birth of the Two-Face villian. It perfectly defined the dichotomy between the Joker and Batman without being hokey. All in all one of the best movies of the summer '08!
Yes, I recommend this movie.
