The performances in this movie were absolutely breathtaking. Christian delivered another stunning performance as our tortured hero, and Michael Caine-well, he's always great. However it was all rather overshadowed-as we all knew it would be-by Heath Ledger's perfectly creepy joker. Never before have I seen such a great last performance. The voice, the laugh, the walk...all of it served to disarm and Heath did a breathtaking job. A bittersweet ending to a beyond wonderful movie.
Yes, I recommend this movie.
